Abstract

This study addressed the role of Management Information Systems
(MIS) in improving the effectiveness of administrative decision-making in
government institutions — a case study of the Zakat Chamber in Kassala
State. The research problem was represented in the main question: What is
the role of Management Information Systems in enhancing the effectiveness
of administrative decision-making in the Zakat Chamber of Kassala State?
The study aimed to identify the suitability of information provided by MIS in
supporting decision-making effectiveness within the Zakat Chamber of
Kassala State. The descriptive-analytical method was adopted, and a
questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection from a sample of
employees and administrators. The most important findings revealed a
positive and statistically significant relationship between the effectiveness of
MIS and the quality of administrative decisions. These systems contribute to
providing accurate information at the right time, thereby supporting planning,
organizing, and control processes. The study recommended the development
of technological infrastructure and training of human resources on the use of
modern information systems to achieve higher efficiency and effectiveness in
administrative performance.
