Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to study the effects of incentives on employees,
case study of Kenana Sugar Company, in 2017, and to test the following
hypotheses: There is a statistically significant relationship between moral incentives
and employees' performance. There is a statistically significant relationship between
material incentives and employees' performance. There is a statistically significant
relationship between incentives system and employees' performance. The findings of
the study indicated the followings: Different needs and desires of employees must
be consistent with the employee's incentives system. Need to take into consideration
the element of immediacy distribution of bonuses and non-delay payment to ensure
the satisfaction of the employees, as well as justice in the disbursement of these
rewards, and include justice here in the amount, type, and timing. Management
should contribute to morale of staff by increasing the material and moral incentives to
the extent of efforts. Not to expand the use of negative incentives represented by
material, monetary, and moral punishment in the company except in cases of
necessity, because of their negative impact of the performance of employees and
their satisfaction with the job.
