Abstract
The study aims to measure the IQ using the descriptive correlation method, the Standard Progressive Matrices and a form (demographical variables). applied to a stratified random sample (5921) (8-18)years. Analyzed by (SPSS) (T-test, Tukey test (Anova), Pearson, Spearman correlations). The general trait was average, the gifted were (5.5%) and the average IQ according (British norm) was (80.0) the standard deviation (25.4) and (Sudanese norm) was (101.8) (23.9). There were a negative statistical significant correlation between the students' intelligence and family size, and between the students' intelligence and birth order. Additionally, there were a positive statistical significant correlation between the students' intelligence and parental level of education, and there were statistical significant differences in intelligence due to parental profession. The results were interpreted, discussed and there were suggestions, recommendations (restudying after 10 and 30 years to examine Flynn Effect)
