Abstract
The research discussed the impact bank loans on the major macroeconomic indicators from 1990 to 2014. In order to identify the role of bank loans in improving the overall economic indicators represented by the growth rates of the main sectors> outputs and the growth rate of the GDP. The main hypotheses were that there is significant direct
effect of bank loans on the Growth rates of the main economic sectors. Also, Bank loans affect the Sudan economy through its effects on the sectors> outputs growth rates. Using the 2SLS method, the research attained the following results the bank finance that directed to the main economic sectors led to significant large increases in its outputs. Namely, agricultural and industrial sectors and other services. The most remarkable that bank loans to foreign trade, had strongly contributed to the reduction of the deficit in the trade balance during the study period. The research recommended the authorities at the central bank to pay more attention to setting the priorities of finance to the real productive sectors specifically agriculture and industry, in order to ensure that it is not directed to the inflationary areas without neglecting the importance of other sectors role in the economy.
